Why we avoid additives

Colours, flavours and preservatives all fall into this category.  They’re strictly not food, because logic would state that food needs to grow – food is farmed.  Additives are made in a chemical laboratory.

Chemicals mess you up.  Chemicals messed Amy Winehouse and Ozzy Osborne up.

Why do kids go crazy on red cordial?  Because of the red food colouring.  It’s not the only one.  There is a book/app called “chemical-free maze” which is a goldmine for deciphering the numbering system on food labels. 

Bottom line, if there is an ingredient you don’t understand, don’t consume it.
